Report indicates that yesterday, June 21, 2016, in Calabar South, at about 11:00am, a robbery gang numbering seven was on a broad daylight robbery entering people shops one after the other.
The robbers successfully robbed from Orok Orok Street to Ekpo Nsa Lane up to Uwanse Street.
But luck ran out of them, when youths of the area chased them and got one of the robbers, popularly called; “TOKOR“, an Igbo boy whose real name was Chinedu. The other six escaped leaving Chinedu to his fate.
Our crime reporter noted that while Chinedu just came back from a three months prison term he served.
Our sources alleged that Chinedu was a famous cultist, a rapist, a murderer and a robber among other criminal activities.
Eye witness told our reporter that when the mob caught him, he was shouting “arooooo” which is their cult slogan so that any of his cult brother hoof could be of help to him, but unfortunately no one came out to rescue him because of the recent cult clash in the town.
He was beaten up and set ablaze instantly by the youths on the road, along Mount Zion by Inyang Edem Street, Calabar South, Cross River State, before the arrival of the Police.
