In a bid to fulfill his campaign promises to his constituents, the member representing ONNA state constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Nse Essien, has disclosed that before the end of the year that one person per village in the 42 villages of ONNA Local government Area, would be empowered in different areas of skills acquisition.
Hon. Essien made the disclosure Saturday on Medley showcase, a live Radio programme on Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation (AKBC), 90.5 FM.
He expressed appreciation to the people of ONNA for choosing him among thousands of qualified ONNA sons and daughters to represent them in the state House of Assembly, adding that their supports would not be in vain.
Hear him; “I’m not a professor and so I don’t see myself as the most qualified to represent the good people of ONNA in the House of Assembly, rather I see it as the grace of God upon my life and am thankful to the good people of ONNA for choosing me to represent them”.
Talking about the government of Mr Udom Emmanuel, the lawmaker, who is also the deputy chief whip of the 6th Assembly, expressed assurance that the government of would deliver totally on his campaign promises as well as transform the state, adding that Akwa Ibom needed a man who had managed finances for people, businesses, companies to take the state to the next level, especially now that the country is facing financial crisis.
“Akwa Ibom State needed a man who had managed money in Nigeria and globally, that’s why we supported His Excellency, Akparawa Udom Emmanuel to become the Governor. And I can assure you, by the time He completes his tenure, Akwa Ibom would have been totally transformed,” he said.
