Onofiok Luke: My Nominee For Minority Leadership Position
By Franklyn Isong
For fairness and equity. For power balancing and national development, it is my humble submission that, no other should be considered for the position of the House of Representatives’ Minority Leader (if the power sharing favours South South) than, a fine lawmaker, vocal lawyer, sound youth activist and comrade to the core, Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke.
His bipartisan disposition made him led his colleagues in the opposition political parties including PDP (his party) to work for and support the emergence of the Speaker of the House of Reps, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila of the APC.
The 9th House of Reps’ leadership structure should constitute lawmakers who have national interest at heart; and lawmakers who will look beyond party lines in the interest of the country.
Premised on the above criteria, Onofiok Luke stands taller than his colleagues from the south south zone and is the best suitable material to function in the House leadership.
He is hereby nominated and I am sure the good people of Akwa Ibom state nay south south have no cogent reason, whatsoever, to object this nomination.
Congratulations Onofiok Luke.
