2023 Governorship: Nya-Etok Declares, Joins ADC

Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok has made known to the public, his intention to aspire for 2023 Governorship Election in Akwa Ibom State under the umbrella of African Democracy Congress (ADC). He announced in a press conference held in Uyo on Wednesday.
Nya-Etok said that he is out to create independency system for people in the state to live and have a means of livelihood without begging, in order to prove to Akwa Ibom people that they can be professionals without begging and take the youth to the government house to be involved in leadership because they cannot move ahead in their current situation.
He stated that his reason for joining ADC is because of its manifesto which includes responsibility, transparency, endurance, innovation and inclusion, saying that the leadership of ADC have lived outstandingly different from leaders of other political parties in the country.
Nya-Etok explained that his purpose for joining politics is to ensure responsibility transfer to the youth to be free from slavery and be involved in dialogue, making social governance effective and carry out good governance; turning every ward in the state into appropriation centre by sending money to develop the people at the ward level.
Also speaking at the event which took place at the state party secretariat, the National Chairman of ADC, Dr. Ralphs Okey Nwosu said that three things brought him to Akwa Ibom which are; to commission the party secretariat, get familiar with the party members and witness Arc. Nya-Etok being given the membership card of the party.
He added that ADC is the third force in the federation, urging the youth in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria to rise and make the difference in governance, in line with the party motto; “Arise and Shine!”
