INSPIRATION FM ENDORSES CHRAN 2023 GOVERNORSHIP TOWN HALL MEETING
The management of Inspiration 105.9 FM, Uyo, has endorsed the forthcoming CHRAN 2023 Governorship Town Hall Meeting.
The endorsement was made on Wednesday, 8th February, 2023, by the General Manager of the radio station, Mr. Samuel Enobong Akpan, when the State Director of the Center For Human Rights & Accountability Network (CHRAN), Akwa Ibom Branch, Otuekong Franklyn Isong, led members of the human rights cum pro-democracy organization to pay him a courtesy visit in his office in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
The CHRAN boss had informed the General Manager of the forthcoming CHRAN 2023 Governorship Town Hall Meeting being put together by the CHRAN in collaboration with other civil society groups, media proprietors and professional bodies for the Governorship Candidates of all the registered political parties in Akwa Ibom State.
Comrade Isong stated that the event will hold at the Watbridge Hotel and Suites in Uyo on Sunday, 5th March, 2023, saying that it will provide a broader platform for the candidates to reach out to the electorates across the nooks and crannies of the State before the governorship election.
He noted that the candidates are not expected to make any financial contribution towards the event, saying that the event is CHRAN’s civic responsibility as a pro-democracy group and CHRAN’s contribution towards deepening democracy in Nigeria nay Akwa Ibom State.
Chief Isong solicited the endorsement of the event and for partnership with the Inspiration 105.9 FM towards the success of the event.
In his response, the General Manager of Inspiration 105.9 FM, Mr. Samuel Enobong Akpan commended the CHRAN for planning the event, noting that it will advance the cause of democracy in Akwa Ibom.
He endorsed the event and promised to partner with CHRAN in order to provide the required coverage of the event by the Inspiration 105.9 FM.
The CHRAN team had: Otuekong Franklyn Isong, State Director; Comrade Emmanuel Udoatta, Deputy Director Intergovernmental Affairs, Comrade Usen Johnson, Comrade Aniedi Michael and Comrade Vincent Aluu in attendance.
