It appears not to be the best of time for the Senator Representing Uyo senatorial district in the National Assembly, as report reaching Radar newspaper’s news desk indicates that the Court of Appeal sitting in Calabar, Corss River state has today dismissed an appeal brought before it by the Senator, in favour of Hon. Bassey Etim on the ongoing pre-election matter instituted in an Uyo High Court by Etim seeking to remove Sen Bassey Akpan.
Senator Akpan and Hon. Etim have been locked in a long drawn pre-election legal battle in an Uyo high court over who is the PDP’s true senatorial candidate for the 2015 poll.
This paper could not get the comment of the senator on the matter.
